Need Advise. Backup Camera

i had my Brother installing a backup camera a year ago, it was a
Wireless camera and a little screen, he tapped in to the reverse lights
to get reverse signal. now things have changed a bit and the camera is
dead so i was thinking of buying a new camera (not Wireless this time)

since the last camera was installed i have put in a pioneer HU
(AVH-X2500BT) so the camera will be Connected to the RCA input on the HU
and the wire from the HU That says "reverse signal" is tapped in to the
Connector under the kickpanel where the reverse signal wire is located.

my question is: is there more to it than buy a camera pull the rca
cable to the head unit and Connect it? i already Connected the reverse
signal to the head unit so it got the signal when i put the car in
reverse.

anyone done this or know the correct way to do it?

the camera i am thinking of buying is the pioneer ND-BC6 camera
