I looked in the Haynes manual, as post 2000 models have slightly different grills.

Pre-August 2000

Remove engine compartment undershields.

Remove radiator grill.

Remove the front indicators.

Disconnect any extras like fog lamp wiring connectors and headlamp washer hoses.

Undo screws securing trim strips below the headlights.

Release the outer edge of the trims strips by pressing a tab to disengage the locating clip, then remove.

Under the front wheel arches, remove the screws securing the wheel arch liners to the underbody.

Carefully pull the liner slightly to access the screws securing the rear of bumper to body.

Unscrew bolts securing bottom of bumper to underbody.

Support the bumper and unscrew and remove expanding rivet.

Release remaining clips and remove bumper from the car.

Post - August 2000 cars:-

Remove engine compartment undershields.

Remove the front indicators.

Extract plastic clips and rivets and remove plastic panel above the grille.

Under the front wheel arches, remove the screws securing the wheel arch liners to the underbody.

Disconnect any extras like fog lamp wiring connectors and headlamp washer hoses.

Unscrew bolts securing bottom of bumper to underbody.

Support the front bumper then unscrew and remove the upper mounting bolts on each side of the head lights and at the top of the radiator grille.

Remove the bumper from the car.

I covered both cars in case anyone with any version are not left out. Saves repeating.

Remember to follows the steps in roughly the order I posted. That is the same order as stated in the Haynes manual.

Good luck.
