Verso Tow Car

I am trying to work out if any of the latest Verso will make good tow cars. There seems to be conflicting reports especially in respect of the nose weight.

Any advice , thoughts please, excluding the ones about getting rid of the caravan !!!!!

I know nothing about towing stuff but I have a 13 plate Verso and the owner's manual states:

drawbar load 55Kg

towing capacity, with brake 1300 Kg, without brake 450 Kg

Does that help at all? :)

I discovered that the seven seat verso has a tow capacity of only 1100Kgs braked and 450kgs unbaked. The 5 seat is higher, but as I own a 2006 seven seat I could not say what the exact figures are..

You should have a plate similar to the one below - possibly in the passenger door opening.

In this case the 2130kg is the gross vehicle weight and the 3730kg is the gross vehicle weight plus towing capacity (braked).

3730kg minus 2130kg = 1600kg towing capacity (braked)

1215kg is the maximum weight on the front wheels.

1135kg is the maximum weight on the rear wheels
