Inferior Ht Leads That Don't Connect Properly.

For the last few years, I have tried 2 sets of third party HT leads and they have given me problems.

I am now using the original leads and the car is fine!

Here are the problems the third part leads have caused:

  • Misfiring
  • Petrol brand sensitive caused by the slight misfire
  • The connectors come off the spark plugs causing the misfire
  • The inner cable moves easily within the long insulators which causes the previous issue
  • Quality of the cable connectors and fitting at both ends

If you have the old 4A-FE, 7A-FE and 3S-FE engines, don't change the HT leads unless you have to. And then try and get genuine or known good quality products.

Thats why i love to buy Toyota great cars and also get great service, funny you say about your seat i had to get my sterring wheel replaced because it started to wear badly in places as if there was 170k on on it instead of the 18k that was on it.

Definitely the quality is not what it was! but then some other manufacturers are doing the Same...all chasing the $....
