does anyone know where you get the 8mm bolts that seem to be the standard fastener on Previas?

Best bet is to check out the yellow pages for 'Fixings and Fasteners'.

You'll find that most fasteners companies have massive stocks on the shelf, but will still deal with small orders. Just take one of the old ones down when you go. Plus, you can get them in Stainless, Hex key etc. Just decide what you want.
