I removed the trim from the hatch door in a fruitless attempt to adjust the view angle of the camera (too much bumper showing on the screen) when, just behind the 'Toyota' Badge, I noticed a strange rubber block mounted in a carrier. Does anyone have any idea what it's for?

It's the behind the carrier/bracket marked with pink.

Maybe a counter balance or a tool to help soak up vibration..

Spot on Toyota describe as a counter weight but it is only fitted in 1.33 CVT Auto and Hybrid, couldn't tell what purpose it serves?
