Yes if I used the gunk I'd take off the Tyrepal sensor.

Might be worth finding out what Green Flag would do - the AA (Club Toyota) or RAC would simply deliver you home or to a single destination on a trailer, and deposit your car, still with a US tyre. You might be looking at leaving your car jacked up while you take your wheel to a tyre shop in a taxi unless you have access to another car.
