I have a auris 1.6 vmatic does it have a chain or cambelt?

If it has a chain l have been told it last as long as the car.what are the signs to look out for if the chain goes wrong

It should be in the manual for the car but at a guess once a year or 10,000 mile whichever comes sooner & 5W30 A1/B1 or A5/B5 semi or fully synth e.g. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-fluids/engine-oil/castrol-magnatec-5w30-a1-oil-4-litre (other brands & resellers are available :P )

A 2009 Valvematic may be an Optimal drive engine if so 0w20 is the correct/preferred grade.
