Radio Code

Can anyone advise me how to find the radio code for my 1999 RAV4? I had to have a new Battery and the radio now needs the code but

I can't find it in any of my books.

One way is to get the serial number of the unit and phone the dealer (or you may need to go in with your V5 log book to prove ownership). They should be able to look it up on their records and tell you. I know for sure the Jeep folks do that no problem.

If that fails then default to the old system of taking the unit out and place it in the freezer for 24 hours. That'll wipe out its little EPROM (or EEPROM) setting and you can plug in your own code with the station buttons.
