Tsport Standard Exhaust Tip-Rotted off?

Hi Guys,

 

My car is due for an MOT next month and its in great nick, however I noticed the other day that the exhaust tip after the back box seems to have rotten off lol.

 

Would a garage be able to source and weld on a new one? Seems a bit daft to replace the entire exhaust for such a small part?

Happened to mine as well, was just the excuse I needed for a custom cat back jobbie.

Don't think it will affect your MOT though.

If the actual box is not holed  think it should be good for the mot, but they might fail it if the lack of tail pipe means the gases could collect under the bodywork ..?

Is there enough good metal on the tail pipe to fit an add on  chrome tail pipe ?

If not, then likely the box will soon fail anyway, so you could replace just the back box if the rest is ok.
