Looking for ECU replacement

Can anyone advise me where i can source an ECU (that speed sensor plugs into) for my Toyota Rav4 Japanese import (1999):

Chassis no: SXA16-0033002
Model Code: E-SXA16G-AWPGK-L
Engine: 3S-FE

I've contacted a parts centre in Japan, who had one, but it was £450 (used- no warranty!) Bit pricey

Any suggestions to contact in UK appreciated.

Why not see whether your ECU can be repaired - the following has had good reports from members

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I forgot to say i've already been down that route and been told it's not repairable.
