im a new owner of a ep82 starlet so i dont know much about it. currently im having problems with the idling.

once the car warms up the idling will drop 2 about 300rpm and then rise back up 2 5/600rpm when i rev it and let go of the accelerator. when i have my lights and radio on it's even worse it idles at around 450rpm.

what do u guys think i can do about it? :help:

thanks

The car should idle around 700rpm when warm, with air con off. with air con on it should go up by about 100rpm.

When cold it will idle higher.

Suggest increasing idle speed - idle adjust screw on rh side top of inlet manifold near where the black inlet pipe goes. There is a rubber bung over the screw,

hey

have you serviced the car already?

I had the same problem the other day. with the same modle car. try changing the spark plug cables and the Ignition Coil cable. Also ceck the sparke plugs to see if there ok. I raised my trottle to about 1000 RPM so when i turn the lights on it goes to about 700 RPM. and it deosen't keep ducking out.

Also try adding a Gas treatment.
