Touch and go audio system

Hi all i recently changed my t180 avensis for a 2015 previous generation business edtion t27. I have noticed when i eject a cd from the player the unit turns off and needs turning back on. Normally on previous toyotas and other vehicles when a cd is ejected the system would go to the radio. 

Has anybody else found there vehicles doing this or is it a fault on the unit.

Try ensuring the audio system is on before inserting the cd. I've got something in my head that if the system was off when a cd was inserted, then it went off again after ejecting. I could be wrong tho, I only ever played a cd a couple of times in mine.

Thanks for reply but radio is on put cd in it plays eject cd the unit shuts off.... strange

Update to issue just tried another Avensis with the same system and that too turns off when a cd is ejected.
