2007 year avensis has interesting sound in the engine. It has been like that for the last 15000 miles. 208000 miles total. Once EGR kicks in then the sound disappers. Also no ticking when starting engine. Nobody (including dealership) don't know what this might be. All services made on time at dealership. 

Anybody has an idea what it might be?

Can you lift the bonnet up and try and narrow it down?
