So here's the end of the story.

They offered to refund me a half of what I paid for everything to which I agreed as I find it a satisfying solution. After considering everything I belive this is the best I would get without taking any legal action and that's something I wanted to avoid. So 50/50 solution sounds fair enough.

Feeling relieved at last.
