hi all, just thought id pop over from the confines of the mr2 section to pick the brains of yourselves.

after being behind a very nice example of the old style supra 3.0 i turbo, and toying with the idea of getting one as i always liked them - and u can pick em up nice and cheap....

what are the figures for this car. ie bhp 0-60

but basically they're 236 bhp, 0-60 is 6.6 standard, add a freeflow exhaust and a wastegate shim to push around 280bhp and it will see you into about 6 seconds. To be honest they're not 0-60 cars.. they really come into their own when accelerating over 80+.. they just keep pulling. Loads of tuning parts available for the engine.

There are also the import models, which are 2.0 twin turbo and 2.5 twin turbo... the 2.5tt is the pick of the bunch and basically a 2.5 litre version of the mkiv TT engine... its 280bhp standard and good for 550+bhp on stock internals. Imports have masses of extra goodies such as aerotop, digidash etc.. but they are rare.

PS yes you can pick them up cheap, but they're generally the nasty examples. Prices are going back up now and a decent 92 K plate model can fetch up to £4000-5000. A decent G or H plate can be bought for around £1500-2500.
