front looks like a corolla and the back end is not pretty

Those pictures don't reflect Toyota Europe's current styling trends - the US Toyota Yaris is based on a Mazda 2, the European one isn't.

In general, not impressed by the website.

i did see another rear end which looked a lot better, hope that is for the uk market

If you search for Yaris on YouTube, you'll see that model, seems to be an Indian model.  I'm not sure when a fresh Yaris will arrive?

It is the Yaris hatchback that is currently available in markets such as Thailand, Indonesia, etc -  see article below dated December 2017:
