Hi there

I have a 2011 yaris with bluetooth which is integrated with a tomtom sat nav.  The microphone doesn't work during a phone call, has anyone experienced this?

Thanks in advance

Hi there

It works perfect if you hold the unit in your hand.  Since the microphone  is on the back of the sat nav, when it is placed in the car, the microphone is covered.

Thank you

So, the microphone works but cannot be heard due to the position you place it.?

If that is so, cannot you  place the TomTom in a different position.

Microphone on the back f the unit? Seems strange place to put it, Usually a small hole on the front is a microphone place.   Speaker on the back, yes, I can understand that as it would take up screen place on the front.

This sounds like the built-in but removable TomTom I had in my 2011 Yaris (which I no longer own) - when inserted into the dash, it links to a microphone in the car and the car's Speakers, and worked fine in mine.

Yes it's a built in removable unit.  The Speakers work perfectly but the third party on a call can't hear.  The unit is part of the car.

Thanks
