Hi, 

could someone confirm the in-correct/ correct operation of my rear brake compensation valve please, I have just had an MOT fail on this part but it doesnt specify why.

Ive been under the van and the there is a rod that goes to valve, when the van is loaded it changes the pressure on the srping and closes or opens it.. when i pull the spring down it moves up and down the rod but is perhaps suppose to be clipped/attached to it, however its a smooth rod, no notches or thread for it to attach to?  its got me a little confused, ive posted a link to a youtube video of the issue, could someone have a watch and see what they think, id be really grateful!
