Fitting Towbar Electrics to 4.2

I have the towbar in place, but now have to fit the electrics.  I have to get to the back of the rear light clusters and under the boot floor to do the job, but I'm nervous about causing damage when removing the trim.  Any advice, please?

Also, is there a hole already available to feed the cable into the body, or do I have to make one?
