scar 40
I have the latest edition of the Yaris and my question is regarding the tpms. Does the info come from an internal sensor on the wheel or does it get its info from the ABS measuring the difference in wheel speed ? I would guess it’s the first option but not entirely sure. thanks
FROSTYBALLS 3,425
As far as I'm aware the only current Toyota car using ABS info for the TPMS (indirect TPMS) is the Aygo.
Mick F 175
With ours, when it's very cold outside, the TPMS warning comes up even before moving, so it must be inside each wheel and not ABS. This gets me onto the issue of measuring the tyre pressures as the handbook says to measure the pressure when the tyres are cold ........... but HOW cold? It alters the pressure dependent on temperature. Pressures are lower when cold and higher when less cold. Mick.
