Annaz 0
As the title suggests my aircon pump is making a right racket. It's sort of intermittent, ie is quieter when accelerating. If I spray some wd40 on it it shuts up for a while. Does this mean it's knackered? Can I strip it down and service it or do I need new parts? Thanks in advance
Parts-King 792
Are you sure it's the pump? It could be the belt slipping? If it is knackered they are difficult and expensive to repair and you would be better off swopping for another. Is the belt shiny and cracked?
Annaz 0
Yes the belt is shiny and cracking, I intend to replace it tomorrow, however the noise seems to be coming from the clutch on the aircon pulley wheel?
Parts-King 792
You need a belt anyway then, for the price, just change it and see how you get on
