Alarm problem

I have a MK2 2003  Rav4 and its been great for the past 10 years. Its not been used much lately due to these covid lockdowns but the other night my alarm started going off at 3am for no reason that I could see. I didn't find out until I got up next morning when neighbours complained. Anyway I took it for a drive and when I parked and set the alarm, it went off and I couldn't turn it off until I put the key into the ignition. For now I have disconnected the Battery as I can't have it going off randomly. I read somewhere that you can disable the alarm on the alarm box with a button. I've no idea where it is located and what I need to do, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
