engine management light came on, code 21 fuel sensor, light goes off on restart.

i noticed a wire was broken on lbsensor could this cause light to come on?

It is actually called a oxygen sensor! But if it was a broken wire on the oxy sensor the light would stay on all the time!! But what do you mean lbsensor???

I work for toyota and this is the most common fault ever on any Carina E!! And you have to replace the oxy sensor to cure it! Best part of £250 from what i can remember!

Sounds like the Oxy Sensor to me too! Most common cause of a 21!!

but you can get them a tad cheaper than £250 ;)
