Damage to fueling receptacle?? Dealer claiming damage during fueling??

Has anyone heard of damaging the fuel receptacle on our Mirai??  

My warning light "FC System Malfunction" turned on on my 2017 Mirai after fueling last night.  When I took it to the dealership for diagnostics, they said that the receptacle was damaged and is leaking gas.  Replacement is estimated at $800 worth of labor!  

Does this sound like a possibility to anyone else??  Those pipes go through some aggressive handling when we are trying to secure and remove frozen gas nozzles but to "break and cause a leak"??  Sounds a little shady to me...considering going to another dealership for service.

Any input would be appreciated.

I mean, that sort of thing is always a possibility, but good grief if they're that fragile hydrogen is not going to take off any time soon...!
