Parts needed for suspension overhaul?

Hello

I want to do a suspension overhaul for my Avensis T25 station wagon 2008 2.0.

Both front and rear, but not necessary at the same time. Which parts would I need?

Im looking at Autodoc and these are the categories:

Shock absorber: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/shock-absorber-10221/toyota/avensis/avensis-estate-t25/11102-2-0-vvti

Top strut mount and bearing: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/strut-mount-and-bearing-10471/toyota/avensis/avensis-estate-t25/11102-2-0-vvti

Dust cover kits: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/shock-absorber-dust-cover-and-bump-stops-10472/toyota/avensis/avensis-estate-t25/11102-2-0-vvti

Springs: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/coil-springs-10213/toyota/avensis/avensis-estate-t25/11102-2-0-vvti

Is this what I need for a complete suspension overhaul? Shock absorber, spring, top bearing and dust cover kit?  My car is a bit rusty, are there any screws that I should order at the same time which is likely to break during installation?

Thanks in advance

Last year I've changed all the shocks on my 2008 2.0 Avensis. For shocks and springs you have everything listed. I did also buy a suspension mounting kit for the rear, I can't remember if I needed that separate or if it was included with the shocks, just to be sure you may order one of them as well.

I've also changed the bushes of the rear stabilizer bar, and also all 4 links (drop links) from the shocks to the stabilizers (front and back). Rather inexpensive parts and since you're already buying the expensive bits it makes sense to include this. For good measure the front stabilizer bushes also should be replaced, however, that stabilizer is routed on top of the subframe, so it would require to drop the entire subframe to change the bushes....

The top of the rear shock absorber is mounted in a metal cup, which then bolts on to the car. On top of that metal cup there is a rubber ring, which in my case was hardened and tearing. I've called Toyota and they could supply new mounting cups for top dollar, so I've decided to grind away the rust, put some paint on it and used gasket sealant to make a new seal between the car and the metal cup. You could use any kind of silicone or sealant. This is mounted in your wheel well, so if it's not properly sealed you could have some moisture issues in your car.

I did not change any bolts, but all the shock absorber bolts are torqued pretty high so it was quite the task to crack them loose. I put the car over a grease pit so I could stand upright with a long metal bar to free them, lying on your back in a driveway would be quite challenging I suppose.....
