Landcruiser 4.7 2000 cranks but wont start

Hi all and thanks for the post, i am a new owner of my 2000 RHD Amazon VX 4.7 Limited, i was driving the other day and was vert sweet , no problems at all, then it just died and will not restart.

I have checked fuel flow and looks good, have checked all fuses and all good, the main things that i have noticed is my ODB2 reader says it cant communicate with the computer, i tried another reader and got the same but the check engine management light comes on. Battery is good and cranks fast.

I read about the EFI fuse and relay , have checked the fuse and it is good, haven't checked the relay.

Also read about the camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor but thinking with the communication problem it might point to something more definitive. And don't want to start spending money guessing, proof is always better.

Any advice please?
