Mk1 D4D Toyota Yaris Engine cut out while driving Po340 cam sensor code and p1229 fuel pump system, I changed the camshaft sensor no different also rough idle cleaned egr valve and throttle body. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds  like blocked fuel filter P1229  means too high fuel pressure.

Easy to replace fuel filter..Bleed it afterwards.

Hi Madasafish, thanks for your reply, my camshaft position sensor was replaced and code po340 was deleted.  I drove out yesterday engine cut out again while on a hill re-checked with the computer and camshaft code did not reapear. P1229 code is still present, you are correct about high fuel pressure being the issue but it cannot be my fuel filter because I changed it myself last year, I removed the low pressure fuel pump sender at the fuel tank and the filter also apears to be okay no blockages etc. I was thinking myself it could be the fuel regulater valve. The car otherwise starts first time pulls okay problem occurs when changing gear under load fuel starvation I think.

Rough idle engine hunting also an issue when engine is cold.
