Hi guys new to the club so a quick hello 👋 so I’ve purchased a Toyota avensis 2.2 d4d t spirit on a 2011 do these suffer with the head gasket problem earlier cars I’ve heard have.thanks

Hello Mark - welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

Earlier engines built up to and including February 2009 could be affected by oil consumption and overheating/head gasket issues.

Design changes largely solved these issues.
