Hi, Does anyone know if I can do a straight swop/replacement of my 1.3 petrol motor for a 1.6 Corolla engine and gearbox?

Straight-swap would be optimistic... I'm sure it'd fit, given there was a JDM version with the 1.8 2ZR engine, but I wouldn't want to guess about how all the auxiliary bits would mate up!

A 1.5 (1nzfe) would be a better option as the UC is based around the early mk3 yaris - electrical will be the biggest issue

 

the 1.5 is a more widely used engine and cheaper, the 1.3 was derived from the 1.5, JDM models had the 1.5 from the factory
