Best to remove all the plugs that has a handles on top. , and they all has one. , perhaps this is why they have it. I see most Toyota Corolla on auto trader are still with those plugs in and I bet they are all filled with water. , haha a natural sound proofing. 🌊

An auto electrical workshop manager I worked with yonks back was mad into American cars.. he said whereas our cars rust from below due to salt splash, the 🇺🇸 ones tended to rust roof first due to condensation.

No real bearing on this thread, you just reminded me of him. Great bloke, much missed!

Had this issue this morning, was shocked when I heard the water noise on my drivers door , flexed the dust cover and out came the water ! Do you recommend removing all 3 of the dust covers from each door or just the front of the front door and rear of the rear door ?? Personally I think I'm going to remove them all .

If me I will take all 3 out. My car has non of these and never had any issues with water.  On a recent Hyundai car I needed to remove on the rear hatch one plug left and there was water inside, all drained out and dry egr since.

I've just come home and took all the plugs out of all the doors !

Does the rear hatch have a drain plug as well?? Didn't check for that ??

Sorry, I have no acces to Corolla to check for you.
There will be some plugs but some of these aren’t to be removed, they hide acces to screws and openings etc.

My car is parked on a slope facing forwards so doing what Toyota say by just removing the rear bung on the rear door wouldn't benefit my car it would still fill up until I took it off the drive and it leveled up
