Well thanks ever so much Flash22. I made it to the festival, topped gear transmission fluid up n had no breakdowns since. Bought clear coolant on advice from shop, topped it up before leaving home and took some with me. Needed nearly 1ltre topping up before heading back too so its losing fluid somewhere, if there's no leakages is that likely to be head gasket ?? 🥺😔😥 . I packed the car in a fashion that left vents free .The warning lights came on again after hitting the B roads near festival. And on the way home they came on after a pitstop in Perth , on the hottest day of over 30° heat which is real hot for up here. So may I donate some money to a favourite charity of yours to say thanks for all your help?

No need. Water issues, get the water system pressure tested that will soon show its self it may just be air locked, and it needs burping - heater on full hot, with the fan on full leave the rad cap off and run up to temp, it may well need a flush

if it's the inverter cooling, i would suspect the electric pump - the engine and inverter are 2 separate systems

45ºc and cabin temp of 65ºc+ yesterday

Jeeze that's ridiculously hot !!! Glad I live in Scotland.🥵

Local mechanic also said I may have over filled the expansion tank.

I have exactly the same problem with my 2004 estima hybrid. Light going on, losing power (particularly on hot days). the fault codes that come up are p3130 invertor cooling system. I cannot find a specialist garage that works on Hybrids. Any advise?

I topped up fluid in transmission and coolants and unblocked vents and seemed to work ok since then .

2004 It's probably never been flushed and changed, you don't need a specialist

P3130 can be either the inverter pump or the cooling fan iirc the pump is bolted to the chassis rail/sub frame
