Hi not sure if I’m posting right sorry

deposit down on diesel urban cruiser 2011. Had my Kia 9 years and very nervous of wasting my money that’s taken me years to save ! I keep reading about dpf is it? Problems blocking and what’s limp mode ? I need this to last a long time for me , 76k miles on it . Thanks so much for any advice . Short journeys and occasional weekend days out longer

Any diesel with a dpf can be adversely affected by continual short journeys. Depending on how short your journeys tend to be and the age of car you seem to be looking at, you may be better going petrol.

Thankyou for the fast reply , I think  the original add said I could get my deposit back no questions asked , there arnt many about and I’ve always had diesel but older so no dpf on . I do short journeys wirh my dog twice a day for walks and short for work I’m a cleaner , can’t believe I’ve made a mistake

With that kind of mileage/useage diesel is a bad choice tbh...go petrol for sure.
