I own a Toyota ISIS 2010. My mechanic accidentally reversed Battery polarity and "killed" my valvematic. The could not rev or speed above 40km/HR, so he resulted changing the valvematic itself. The car runs better except for the following:

1. Engine is misfiring.

2. Fuel economy in now low averaging 8km/l. It used to average 11-12 km/l.

No. 2 is my biggest problem. Can someone help me out?

U011B is related to the valvematic control this will affect the cam timing and make it run poorly and misfire

i will have to look it up but there it may need initializing or calibration, or you may have an ecu issue

Hi there,

I'm having issues with my 2015 Toyota Verso (petrol 1.8 automatic) .. I've recently purchased it and it has also recently had and engine and auto gearbox change.

I'm having the EML and Traction lights coming on with the following codes..

UO11B emg light...Lost communication with rocker arm control module

ABS/VSC/TRC X2 ...C1201 engine control system malfunction - history and current

Air conditioner...B1423 open in pressure sensor circuit/ abnormal refrigerant pressure - current

I've spoken to a mechanic who has informed me B1423 is a minor issue may just be sensor and the C1201 is only coming on due to the UO11B. I've been told the only way to fix the UO11B is to replace the valvematic control unit (also known as the system controller) which second hand is £200 or brand new/refurbished £800 ..which is not including his labour price of around £200!

I would be grateful if someone can inform whether this is the right way to go, or if the is anything else I can do...maybe a much cheaper route? 🙏

I would start with checking the fuses then powers and grounds, why a new engine and gearbox ? sounds like someone with no clue throwing parts at the car
