How does it matter? PHEV = HEV with bigger battery

There is technically no reason why same features can't be added in HEVs.

BTW, UK/European PHEVs don't get those features.

In context of the original comment the UK and EU PHEV does have that button, exactly as the US Prime. And the original comment still stands that it would be of little, if any value, on a HEV.

One might be forgiven for thinking that, but 'no':

PHEV = HEV with bigger Battery, and a mains charger (obviously) and a differently tuned engine, plus a different 'gearbox' and a more powerful front electric motor (so that it can achieve motorway speeds as an EV) with (irritatingly) different trim levels and better sound proofing. And it is built in an entirely different factory. But other than that they are virtually identical ... 😉

(It's is distinctly possible that I've missed some of the differences 🙂 )
