SCR emissions fault/Adblue

Hi, started up the other day in sub zero temperatures and SCR emissions warning came up with a solid adblue light and spanner symbol. Having driven a few miles the lights went out but the next time i started they came back along with the engine light and message saying NO START in 700miles. Adblue was not long ago fully filled. Various research suggests I need a news adblue tank at £900+vat. Has any one had any experience of this and the likely outcome? Many thanks

Adblue tank is one possibility although thankfully quite rare there are multiple possibilities including:

  • Freezing/Icing of Adblue
  • Faulty heated supply pipe
  • Faulty injector
  • Faulty software

What is the mileage as an 18 Plate would still be in warranty by age?

Peugeot in disguise, there has been multiple service campaigns & also goodwill repairs by Peugeot & Citroen dealers on there versions of the vehicle.

The tanks are a very poor design - I've not seen any of the automotive electrical repair places offer a service / exchange unit yet OR a repair solution.

Hi, thanks for your reply. the vehicle mileage is approx 40k. It turns out the fault was with the Adblue tank. Thankfully it was replaced under warranty!
