2012 Toyota Estima tyre size change 215/60/17 to 235/55/17

Has anyone fitted 235/55/17 tyres on 2006 onwards Estima?

It comes with 215/60/17 but the car does not feel very stable in certain conditions. I've checked and the newer models come with 225/50/18 (larger rims and wider tyre than the 215) but according to the tyre comparison chart the difference between the 215/60/17 and 235/55/17 is the tyre width (0.4 inches on either side) the RPM etc is identical so there wouldn't be any problems with incorrect speedo reading. Only worry is about the tyre rubbing somewhere because of the extra width?! Hence asking if anyone has tried to fit wider tyres on their Estima?
