Paddle shifter problem

Hello everyone in the community I have the Toyota Auris 1.6 MMT 2007 model and the steering wheel have paddle shifters! The problem is that only the right is working and upsetting the gear, the left doesn’t respond at all and the gear falls automatically by it self when the rpm is lowering. Is there anyone who has something like this experienced before. Please any advice appreciated.
