1500cc Paseo problem

Hi all

I have a 1996 1500cc Paseo and althought the engine starts and runs it is overfueling and ticking over at approx 1200rpm.

As the engine gets warmer the revs still stay at around 1000rpm

Can anyone tell why it would be doing this and by plugging into the diagnostic port would this point me in the right direction to finding a cure for it?

More than likely a vacuum leak, use a bit of carb cleaner or brake clean around the manifold joints and pipe work with the engine running if it stalls or revs you have a vac leak

1996 may be early obd2 or it maybe the older 22/23 pin - you can do the flash test and link 2 pins and turn on the ignition then count the flashes
