It's ridiculous the lengths we're now going to just to try and eliminate carbon in things - Ammonia is horrible stuff! I wouldn't want that anywhere near me as a fuel, and the energy density is worse than ethanol!

I don't even want to think what it would smell like in fuel stations, and god help anyone at the scene of an accident where the tank had ruptured!

And I bet the energy needed to produce it is as bad as it is for hydrogen...

And all just because it doesn't have any carbon atoms in it! Ignore that it'd probably produce loads of NOx...

The way AdBlue for diesel engines works is by spraying ammonia into the exhaust, but even they were smart enough not to use raw ammonia andinstead use urea, which is a lot safer, and decompose it into ammonia on the fly, but urea has a single carbon atom in it so oh no we can't have that :wallbash:
