Booming and gentle vibrating occasionally when braking

Seems to happen more often. Happens sometimes when I brake. I have tried cleaning the right rear drum brake. As has not been cleaned in 18 years, so it was full of dirt. Added white grease to edge of drum brake pads. Left drum brake I cleaned a couple of years ago. Could it be a front brake?

I am have the MOT coming soon, which is a good thing. They really do test cars with latest MOT testing.

I have tested the brakes and they seem to work well. The brake fluid level seems ok. Brake pedal is firm not sponge like.

Your whole brake system needs a complete overhaul if they haven't been serviced in 18yrs. Take your car to a trusted mechanic and get him to do it  Your brakes are your and others absolute lifesaver, and are critical to your safety.
