Coolant change on hybrid

Merry Xmas all!

I'm changing both coolants on Auris hybrid. I have drained the engine system via the radio drain valve. There's only 4 litres come out that way. I read somewhere that the block drain was deleted after a certain date, but even when it was there, not much drained out anyway. Does anyone (probably Tony!) have experience of this, ie is that all I can expect to drain?

When I drain and refill mine I always do get out 5ltr, I undo the reservoir cap first , then place a tube into an empty container and connect to the radiator drain valve.  Then refill and run an air bleed procedure. 
 

Note an important first step ! 
Start the car, turn off ac, set heating in manual mode to max hot and fan speed 1, then wait a minute and turn off the car. 
This procedure is important and perhaps if you haven’t done it maybe there is more coolant locked into your heater core.

I did get a shade over 4l out so maybe that first step makes that difference. Thanks for that anyway
