7th gen Corolla as a first car?

Hi all! I'm 17 and studying for my driving theory at the moment, I've had a look at first cars and I quite like the look of the 7th gen ('92-'97) Corolla, it seems very sensible and reliable and I like the way it looks. Can anyone give me their opinion on this? Insurance, reliability, performance etc.

Hi, 

as most other Toyota cars it will be reliable and nice to drive for its age, mileage. Remember, because it is an old car you need to thoroughly check for rust and all age related issues.
