Dash top storage in my Corolla

Here's silly but hopefully interesting question.  Is the dash top in my 2023 Corolla TS the same as in the 2023 Corolla cross?

I ask because I have seen a tray that fits behind the upright display and is located by velcro.  The tray is on Amazon and it is described as being for a Corolla Cross.  The details are ASIN BOCIV2XPLZ Model number GENERIC  285177 53.

Looks like a very handy behind upright screen storage tray.

If it fits the Cross,  I'm assuming it fits the TS.  Just under a tenner.

Any thoughts folks?

I’ve seen these on Amazon and my first thought is safety, do you really want loose items at head height that can become projectiles in a collision, personally I wouldn’t.

Thanks Simon. You're right I wouldn't want objects flying around in a dangerous way.  Looking at the tray, I think there's a rubberised lining which limits things slipping  around as well as raised edges to the tray itself.   I would take responsibility for any objects I would place in the tray and ensure that they would be small items unlikely to fly around dangerously. 

Thank you for your advice.  My main query is any difference between  the TS dashtop and that of the Corolla Sport.

Hello All

I took the plunge and bought one of these from Amazon.

It doesn't fit my Corolla.  Mine has a curved platform behind the central display and the tray will not fit over it.  I imagine the Cross version has a differently moulded platform.

Anyway, anyone with a Cross who fancies the tray can have mine.  Let me know if interested,
