rav4 2013 power tailgate not fully closing.

Hi guys, I had a problem with my powered tailgate partially closing. It would start to close then from about 12 ins from closing would stop returning  about 1 in. I tried resetting the system but to no avail. From looking through  various websites I discovered there is a sensor on the rubber strip that runs along the edge of the tailgate lights. Tap it while the tailgate closes and it will stop closing. I messed about with this seal, pushing them in as much as I could and now the tailgate closes. This is a very sensitive area and the rubber seal can touch the outer lights causing the gate to stall as it thinks it's an obstruction. I guess some of you might know this but try finding this fix on the web with ease!
