Prius Gen 3 2010 SKS Key fob issue

My Gen3 has lost connection to the keyfob, can still start the car by touching the fob to the dashboard button, have changed the Battery in the fob for a new one but still no door locking or unlocking is available, the Fobs red light blinks when I press the buttons so I know that its trying to send a signal but the car SKS system seems to have turned off or is faulty, does anyone have any advice on this problem?

I have had a couple of times over the years where a new fob Battery was faulty. One was out of date, the other should have had plenty of time in reserve.

At least try a new Battery from another source.

It may also be worth trying some switch cleaner on the key's Battery contacts.
