Thats really useful, was planning to have a spacesaver in my 2WD Cross instead of the 'shaving foam' its supplied with - was worried it might slide about without some sort of insert, but yours looks pretty tight to the edges of the available space ? -  I I cant see in the pictures, what is the tyre/rim size they have supplied you with ? Thanks

Had mine fitted last week, it came with a styrene insert for the inside of the spare for storing things.  I was a bit worried when I first looked as I couldn't see a jack, but it was hidden in the cubby behind the trim panel on the right hand side of the boot.

@marlinleg I have the MY21 Excel.  Above the wheel is a deck board.  Then at a higher level split deck boards that you appear to have.  What isWheel cardboard for? Do you only have the higher board?

Roy the card board was in my rav4 under the rav4 spare wheel to stop it rattling 😂😂 so I took it with me in case I need it to stop the Yaris's cross spare wheel from rattling 😵‍💫 I am a belt and braces man 😂😂😂😂 it wasn't needed in the Yaris or rav4  in the recycle bin

And I suspect that the cardboard would come in handy to kneel on if you had to change the wheel in bad weather or a muddy road

In extremis, and lacking foresight, use a footwear carpet.

If you have the rubber boot protector use that.

Better still, and there is plenty of room, a couple of towels to kneel on.  Rubber gloves and wipes.

While I have seen a very well prepared campervan with a trolley jack I like the electric screw or scissor jack kits you can get.
