Hi all. Recently purchased front and rear mudflaps from Toyota  Parts Direct for my Yaris Cross. Nice fitting instructions enclosed. Managed to download instructions for front but can't find a download for the back ones. If anyone can give  me directions  for the fitting instructions I would be most grateful. Thanks

  • 2 weeks later...

I bought my car 2 weeks short of one year ago and paid for mud flaps. On collection the car only had rears fitted and I was told that the fronts were on back order and I would be contacted when the dealer had them.  They rang me yesterday!! It was suggested that I go there next week, Tuesday or Wednesday, at 4pm, to have them fitted. I told them that a morning would be better for me but basically got the response that they had to be fitted then as they could not keep them for me! Flippin' 'eck, I have paid for them, but to save arguing, I am having them fitted next Wednesday, (at 4pm!). And I want plenty of free coffee whilst I am waiting.  😉

Just as an aside, does anyone know how long the fitting should take?

Less time than it takes to drink a cup of coffee 🤣

Seriously, not on the Yaris but on our Skoda - instructions said remove front wheels blah, blah, blah...  Yeh right.

Turned steering wheel full lock. Undid 4 cross screws with the aid of a 90degree angle screwdriver attachement and replaced them with the slightly longer screws that came with the mudflaps. Repeat for other side and hey presto.

Took longer than drinking an expresso but shorter than one of those tall glass lattes.   🤣

From the above instructions the Toyota should be even faster...  Only two replacement screws and a self tapper !

Not express fitting then? Hopefully it was an Espresso you were drinking?

Hi does anyone know if mud flaps can be fitted on the new Yaris 2024 design. I usually get them free as part of the negotiated price but the dealer said they couldn’t fit them on this car.

He's talking rubbish! Of course they can be fitted to your car. However, they are a bit difficult to get hold of at the moment while Toyota gets its supply situation sorted out... (the official Toyota ones)

I took the car in today for my "4pm" appointment at just turned 2.30 - was driving off the forecourt by 3.15pm after seeing the car sat sitting there - don't know how long it had been waiting for me! So I now have all four mud flaps that I paid for a year ago.  . And yes, I got my coffee!
