I think you press and hold the Home button.

Why?

Nope. Doesn't work. Only thing I can get any button to do is to reset it when I keep the Vol button pressed.

I want the screen off.

I don't know if yours is similar enough to the one in my Yaris, but in mine there is an option in the headunit's settings menu, something like Display Settings, which has an option to turn the screen off completely

Why on earth would you want the screen off completely? Does it annoy you that much?

There's a small icon bottom right of the screen touch this and it brings up an option to turn off display

Go into menu, settings, display??
At the bottom right there is an almost “greyed out” setting, press that and the option to turn off screen is there.

It is a nice option to have for long dark journeys.

That’s it, it stays off until you use the audio or satnav when it reverts to on. As Tony said, there are times when it’s nice to have it off. Citroen have had the “black” screen option for years, operated by an easy found screen button.

The Corolla setup is easy when you’ve found it👍🏻

Anyone remember the night panel on the old Saabs?

Pressed the button and everything in the interior switched off except the dials.

Shame modern cars don't have this, especially with the huge infotainment screens they have now.
