Hi Alan,Adjusting the backlight on the display should be possible through the settings menu. Have you tried accessing the settings menu on the display screen to see if there's an option for adjusting the backlight? If you're having trouble finding it, referring to the owner's manual it might provide detailed instructions.hope this helps.

Well, get one! 🙂

Your Owner's Manual is available via My Toyota and your vehicle, and/or via Toyota Owner's Manuals

Hi Alan, try this you might be able to adjust the backlight on your Corolla. Locate the instrument cluster buttons on your steering wheel, you should find buttons for controlling the instrument cluster display. These buttons might have arrows or have "MENU" and "SET" markings.

Access the settings menu: Use the buttons on your steering wheel to navigate through the menus on the instrument cluster display. Look for options related to "Display", "Brightness", or "Settings".

Find the backlight adjustment: Within the settings menu, there should be an option to adjust the brightness of the instrument cluster display. It might be labeled directly as "Backlight" or under a sub-menu like "Display Settings".

Adjust the backlight level: Use the arrow buttons or rotary knob (depending on your model) to adjust the backlight to your desired level..Hope this helps:smile:

It may help if we have details of your wife's C-HR. For example, what year is it?

Hi Alan, I found this online.Dashboard backlight adjustment on a Toyota chr 2019 design 1.8

To adjust the dashboard backlight on a 2019 Toyota C-HR Design 1.8, follow these steps:

Locate the “Menu” button on your vehicle’s dashboard, which is typically a button with a picture of a car and a wrench.

Press the “Menu” button to access the vehicle settings.

Use the arrow buttons on your steering wheel or the buttons on the dashboard to navigate through the menu options.

Look for the “Settings” or “Display” option in the menu.

Select the “Display” option and then choose “Brightness” or “Backlight” from the sub-menu.

Adjust the backlight brightness using the arrow buttons. You can increase or decrease the brightness as per your preference.

Once you have set the desired brightness, press the “Menu” button again to exit the menu.

If you are unable to find the “Brightness” or “Backlight” option in the menu, it might not be available in your vehicle’s settings. In this case, you may need to consult the online manual for more detailed information or contact your Toyota dealer for assistance.Hope this works.

If you enter your vehicle details here you will be able to download the specific manual for your vehicle

https://www.toyota.co.uk/customer/manuals

Alternatively, the manual I think may be for your C-HR may be this one
